2. What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company name and the content of your message.
When you sign up for updates on our Resources page, we collect your name and email address.
When you book a call using the scheduling link on our Contact page, the booking is handled by Reclaim, and the details you give are collected by Reclaim on our behalf.
When you simply browse the site, our hosting provider records technical information in its server logs, including your IP address and information about your browser and device. Your browser also stores a small number of technical values needed to run the site, one of which is an anonymous identifier attached to requests the site makes to our hosting platform.
This website sets no cookies, and we use no advertising, profiling or third-party tracking technologies.
3. How we use it, and our lawful basis
To respond to your enquiry and to arrange and hold any call you book. Our lawful basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and, where you are enquiring on behalf of a business, our legitimate interests in responding to people who approach us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
To operate, secure and maintain this website. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in keeping the site available and protecting it from misuse (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not currently send marketing emails. If we begin to do so, we will rely on your consent, or on the soft opt-in where you have already enquired about our services, you will be able to unsubscribe from every message, and we will update this notice before we start.
We do not use your personal data to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell it.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set any cookies.
Analytics on this site is switched off. We do not measure or record how individual visitors move around the site.
Your browser does store a few technical values that the site needs in order to work, including the anonymous request identifier described in section 2. These are necessary to deliver the site you have asked for, and they are not used to build a profile of you.
Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means your IP address is disclosed to Google when a page loads. If you would rather this did not happen, most browsers and privacy extensions can block it.
5. Who we share it with
Base44, which hosts this website and delivers contact form submissions to us.
Reclaim, which handles call bookings made through the scheduling link on our Contact page.
Google, which serves the typefaces used on this site, as described above.
Our professional advisers, and any regulator, court or other authority where we are required by law to disclose information.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become instructions: we keep your message and contact details for 12 months after our last contact with you, and then delete them.
If you become a client, your information is kept under our Terms of Business rather than this notice.
Updates sign-ups: we keep your details until you unsubscribe, and for 12 months after that so we can honour your request not to be contacted again.
Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for its own operational and security periods, and not used by us for any other purpose.
7. International transfers
Our hosting provider, Base44, stores data on servers located in the United States. Reclaim, which handles bookings, also relies on providers located in the United States.
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, those transfers are made under the data protection terms offered by each provider, which rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, and on Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
You can ask us for more information about the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer by writing to hello@fuellegal.co.uk.
8. Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected, and incomplete data completed.
You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data where there is no good reason for us to continue holding it.
You have the right to ask us to restrict how we use your personal data while a question about it is resolved.
You have the right to object to our using your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests, and an absolute right to object to direct marketing at any time.
You have the right to receive personal data you gave us in a portable format, and to ask us to send it to someone else, where the processing is based on your consent or on a contract and is carried out by automated means.
Where we rely on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@fuellegal.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
9. Contacting us, and complaints
